How appropriate is 'Royal Deceit'/'Prince of Jutland'?

How appropriate is this film? It's the Saxo Grammaticus version of Hamlet, staring Christian Bale? I know it's Rated R for violence and nudity, but how intense are they? Is it 'The 13th Warrior' kind of violence or 'Apocalypto' violence? Are the nudity scenes few enough so I can just skip them, or is it a film where I can't skip without losing the story line?
