Should a defensive lacrosse head be pinched?

I have good reliable stick skills. I play wing defense because I have a really good take away and quick. But I also play long pole middie and face off. (use to play attack). So anyway I want a stx surgeon because I like a good pinch for control and face-off an tired of heads warping. Will this be ok for defense. If this helps I'm currently using the brine E3
