Will a bill be submitted to the president for his veto option when...?

the house and senate have already approved the bill with 2/3 majority? Even if he vetoes the bill it will be overridden because of the 2/3 majority needed to override a veto. Is it still put on the president's desk to give him the option to veto it, even though the veto would essentially be pointless?
