Why do some people get so heated when discussing politics if THEY ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING to further cause?

If Americans are nothing else, they are certainly opinionated. It is much easier to try to dissemble someones belief structure to make you feel better about your own, than it is to actually get out in the community and do something about it. I don't think it has anything to do with fear of anything other than work. We are a lazy people, and while we are well intentioned those intentions mean nothing if nothing is done to accomplish them.
