Why does ovie only have 4 points?

i've watched him and backstrom struggle to get back into the swing of things, while semin is dominateing. i'm a huge caps fan so anybody scoreing is awesome, but when ovie scores it's different. it seems like everytime he gets the puck he as 2 guys on him and trys something fancy around them but the puck get knocked out of the way. he has a powerful enough shot, why doesnt he just shoot.
