My 'question' was deleted for 'not being a question'....?

You need to understand that Y!A is not manually monitored by any staff members; the *only* way a question can be deleted is if two or more users report it as being in violation of Y!A guidelines, among which are people posting non-questions (...aka "rants"...) There are a lot of kiddies who think it's cool to go around in hunting packs and for no better reason than their own meanness report even legitimate questions as violations. It's just one of the several weaknesses of Y!A that we have to live with.
