I really want a labradoodle dog, how do i convince my parents?

okay, so i have been obsessed with labradoodles for about 2years now, i love animals and my mum and dad know i love dogs. One of my best friends got a labradoodle puppy two days ago, which has made me want one even more!!!! The problem is, My mum and dad are saying they don't want to be stuck with my dog when i go to university, which will be in 2-3 years (depending if i have a gap year) so they say if i don't go to university, or stay at home when im at university, i can get my labradoodle i have always wanted! What do i do? i really want to go to universtiy, and if i stay at home when im there, i won't have the full experience, not to mention that the only 2 universities around my area, which i could drive to each day, are nottingham and nottingham trent. I have heard bad reports about nottingham trent being rubbish, and nottingham dosn't apeal to me either, which is probebly because i have lived here all my life! i don't no what to doo? help me please.....
